11:54 am - Update to the Evolution Game

In a posting I wrote on April 21, I introduced the game of Evolution. I concluded that explanation with the observation "After awhile, you'd think that even the Cretins of the world would realize that the game is rigged."

Well, one of the advantages of posting to such an erudite audience as yourselves is that I get the benefit of many additional brains. A couple of people pointed out that the Cretins WOULD in fact recognize right off the bat that the game is rigged and would deny that it represents a realistic view of the world. So I've gone back to my original posting and modified it to permit the Cretins to win whenever chance alone turns up a winning number.

Someone else wanted to use the game in the classroom but wasn't sure where to find percentile dice, so I've added a link for that and also for monopoly money.

And I've tweaked a few other things as well.

In order to maximize the audience for this little game, I'm turning it loose in the public domain. Please feel free to refer other people to it.
